DTO-Bioflow Matchmaking Event 4: Supporting Marine Protected Area Management with Digital Services – Phase 5 | DUC 5

On 29 May 2026 at 10:00 AM, the fifth phase of the Matchmaking Event 4 will focus on identifying long-term monitoring needs and opportunities for future collaboration.

What Will Be Discussed

This consultation will explore how digital twin service approaches developed through DUC5 can support future monitoring activities in Marine Protected Areas managed by CAB Skåne.

Participants will discuss the requirements and specifications needed for long-term monitoring programmes and identify opportunities for collaboration through a pilot study. The discussion will consider how image-based monitoring and related DTO services can support evidence-based marine management.

The meeting will also examine opportunities to align future monitoring activities with ongoing research initiatives, including projects funded by the Swedish Research Council FORMAS.

Participants

  • County Administrative Board (CAB) Västra Götaland
  • CAB Skåne
  • University of Gothenburg (UGOT)

Looking Ahead

The outcomes of this discussion are expected to contribute to a pilot collaboration and provide the basis for a future workshop dedicated to drafting recommendations for long-term monitoring approaches.
