DTO-Bioflow Matchmaking Event 4: Supporting Marine Protected Area Management with Digital Services – Phase 3 | DUC 5

On 25 March 2026 at 12 AM, the third phase of the Matchmaking Event 4 advances with the work on spatial mapping and monitoring approaches for Kosterhavets National Park.

What Will Be Discussed

This meeting will focus on the next steps for mapping benthic habitats and key marine organisms across the MPA using computer vision methods.

Participants will discuss plans for student projects dedicated to the spatial mapping of habitat-forming benthic species and other key organisms. The work is expected to contribute to a better understanding of ecological patterns across the protected area and support future monitoring activities.

The consultation will also review progress since the February meeting and identify priorities for continued development of digital twin services' tools and workflows.

Participants

  • County Administrative Board (CAB) Västra Götaland
  • University of Gothenburg (UGOT)

Looking Ahead

The outcomes of this discussion will feed into a broader consultation planned for May 2026 on monitoring objectives and long-term programme design.
