This year’s Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM26) is the flagship conference for the ocean sciences and the broader ocean-connected community. It will bring together researchers, innovators, policy leaders, and industry representatives in Glasgow to advance scientific knowledge and strengthen global collaboration for a sustainable ocean future. The meeting will take place at the Scottish Event Campus from 22–27 February 2026 and will offer both in-person and online participation options.
In 2024, nearly 6,000 participants from 60 countries gathered to exchange research, share solutions, and build lasting partnerships. OSM26 continues this strong tradition, providing a dynamic platform for cutting-edge science, interdisciplinary dialogue, and cross-sector engagement.
Why Attend OSM26
OSM26 brings together thousands of ocean professionals from around the world working across marine science, policy, technology, and innovation.
Participants will gain insight into the latest research across diverse fields, including marine ecosystems, biodiversity, ocean observation, and climate change impacts. The meeting offers exceptional opportunities for collaboration and networking, enabling meaningful connections with leading experts, institutions, and organisations dedicated to ocean sustainability.
Attendees can also engage with more than 100 scientific organisations and ocean-focused companies through exhibitions, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities. OSM26 is more than a conference — it is a global gathering shaping the future of ocean science.
Why This Matters for DTO-BioFlow
OSM26 represents a key opportunity for the marine biodiversity and ocean data community. The event fosters dialogue around ocean observation, modelling, digital innovation, and science-to-policy integration — all central to advancing interoperable and scalable solutions for ocean knowledge.
Participation in OSM26 strengthens collaboration across research infrastructures, digital ecosystems, and biodiversity initiatives, contributing to a more connected, efficient, and impactful ocean science landscape.
Meet DTO-BioFlow at OSM26
DTO-BioFlow will be represented at OSM26 by Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ). Lotte Pohl will attend the meeting and is available to connect with stakeholders interested in learning more about the DTO-BioFlow project.
