As DTO-BioFlow progresses, the consortium is holding a dedicated internal workshop to advance efforts around data accessibility and system integration. The focus is on aligning how different types of datasets are made available through the DTO infrastructure, and how they connect with external platforms such as the EDITO data lake.

This workshop reflects the ongoing technical maturation of the project and the collaborative effort required to ensure that the flow of marine biodiversity and ecosystem data is both efficient and sustainable.

Key Objectives

  • Review the current architecture of data connections within the project.
  • Address integration challenges for specific datasets, particularly those from WP3 that are not routed through EMODnet Biology.
  • Coordinate with WP5 to define a clear strategy for establishing direct connections to the EDITO data lake where appropriate.

Why This Matters

Establishing streamlined, interoperable data pathways is essential to the long-term impact of DTO-BioFlow. This internal workshop represents a significant step toward ensuring that diverse data sources across the project are effectively connected, discoverable, and ready to support the wider European Digital Twin Ocean framework.

Further updates will be shared as the project’s data infrastructure continues to evolve.
