DTO-BioFlow Work Package 4 (WP4) is organising its first technical workshop, and we are pleased to invite all project partners to join. The Demonstrator Use Cases (DUCs) developed under WP4 are now well established and supported by rich, diverse datasets from WP3, while integration with the Digital Twin Ocean (DTO) framework is beginning to take shape in WP5. This workshop marks a key moment to bring these efforts together—aligning technical implementation, showcasing progress, and identifying synergies to demonstrate the added value of DTO-BioFlow. The workshop will focus on DUC implementation and Species Distribution Modelling (SDM) within the EDITO framework.
Objective
This workshop aims to:
- Outline the technical implementation and facilitate collaboration between WP3, WP4, and WP5,
- Review progress on the Demonstrator Use Case (DUCs),
- Showcase technical demonstrations using the EDITO Data Lab,
- Advance interoperability and integration strategies,
- Deepen understanding of Species Distribution Modelling (SDM) in a marine context,
- Identify reusable tools and multi-use building blocks across DUCs.
This internal workshop will take place on two consecutive half-days, 12–13 May 2025, and its audience are DUC Partners & Contributors, as well as all DTO-BioFlow Partners. The focus will be on DUC Implementation & Species Distribution Modelling (SDM) within the EDITO Framework.
Agenda
On Monday, 12th May, the workshop will cover DUC onboarding. On Tuesday, 13th May, it will focus on SDM using the DTO environment.
