We are thrilled to announce that the DTO BioFlow project will be represented at the prestigious World Biodiversity Forum 2024, taking place in Davos, Switzerland, from Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21. This significant event gathers experts, practitioners, and policymakers from around the globe to discuss and advance the conservation of biodiversity.

Sharif Islam, a Data Architect from Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, The Netherlands, and a valued partner of DTO BioFlow, will be contributing to the session titled "Digital Twin Applications to Foster Actions for Biodiversity Conservation." In his talk, "FAIR Data and Models in BioDT: Powering Biodiversity Digital Twins," Sharif will delve into the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles applied within the BioDT project. He will share insights and lessons learned from the development and implementation of BioDT, highlighting its potential for other digital twin initiatives.

DTO BioFlow will be highlighted in this session, underscoring its critical role in fostering seamless and interoperable systems for managing biodiversity data, thereby enhancing the overall efficacy of digital twin projects in conservation efforts.

Attendees can look forward to learning about the practical applications of FAIR data and models, and how these principles can drive more effective actions in biodiversity conservation. This session promises to offer valuable takeaways for those involved in digital twin technologies and biodiversity efforts worldwide.

We encourage all participants of the World Biodiversity Forum to attend this session and engage in the discussion on how digital twin applications can revolutionize biodiversity conservation.

We are excited to see the DTO BioFlow project being featured at such a prominent event and look forward to the valuable connections and collaborations that will emerge from it.
